In 2002 we started processing venison at our shop on Dupont Rd, at that time we only offered cutting steaks, roasts, and burger. As business increased over the next few years we decided to add smoking to your options. We started to offer summer sausage, jerky and snack stix. Once hunters heard about the additional options, we became busier and grew with leaps and bounds. Feders quickly outgrew the shop's capacity on Dupont Rd so we began to look for another location.
The new location ended up being in Huntertown, our present shop. We set up the new shop using our years of experience in retail to better serve our customers. Feders Meats added a catering division and started serving meals at any event that our customers wanted. We have catered many weddings, graduations, family reunions, the list goes on.
During the winter of 2015 we came under Indiana BOAH inspection in addition to our existing Allen County BOH. This new inspection allows us to slaughter your livestock and get it back to you for your freezer.
Recently my sons have taken Feders into yet another direction and purchased and got certified a food truck. It is called Feders BBQ Pit. The truck can be seen at different locations and events selling delicious BBQ.
In February of 2018, Feders grew again by purchasing the two Albright's Meats & Deli locations in Fort Wayne from Lee and Karen Albright. We're committed to carrying on their tried and true recipes while continuing to introduce our own as well. I am very proud of how our family has pulled together over the years to grow Feders Meats into a force to be reckoned with.
Feders' is always looking for new ways to serve our valued customers, we listen to any suggestions and try new things for you on a regular basis. We have always strived to give our customers what they want and need, so feel free to suggest anything that you feel we can help you with.
